Car of the week: Peel P50

I've decided to do a new thing: having a car of the week. this will include a picture (right) with a bit about the car and my opinion of it. So what better car to start off with than the Peel P50?

Made on the Isle of Man in the early 1960's, the p50 was called "almost cheaper than walking" as it cost less than 200 pounds stirling. the engine is a small 150cc bucket of bolts that sits by your right leg in the cockpit. Depending on how much you've eaten for breakfast, and how tall you are, you may reach as high as 35mph. when you get to work, you can get out, and lift a handle in the back, pulling the car up onto its front two wheels, and you can then pull it into your office. Handy.

Now it isnt a very pretty car, especially in that color, and i cant imagine that it's very safe, as your knees are the crumple zone. But i would love to have one. nothing could be better than going christmas shopping, seeing no parking spots, and simply driving through the mall to all of your favorite stores. When the security people tell you to stop, you can use it as your personal shopping cart.

Great Little Car, this, which makes it our car of the week

Winding roads

This weekend i drove on a road that was narrow and bendy and covered in trees.  only on the mountains of bolivia can you find a scarier road than the backroads of sherborn.  i may mention that later.
